So Much to Do, So Little Time
And there i go again, returning to the same old sickness of creating a blog and leaving it cobwebbed. This is the blog where all the flies in the world gather, because first of all, the lazy ass of a blog-author that i am is neglecting it. And I am blaming my lack of time to write as an excuse not to write, which is inexcusable anyway.
Haha. There goes nothing... -_-

Scratching to Excel!
The year of the rat is here and man the first day of the 2008 could't be more exciting than this. I thought this would be just another new year since our Christmas celebration was not in any way "Christmas" (READ: Laughs, Santas, Socks, Gifts, Petty Parties, Enjoyable Petty Parties, Family, yeah you know the drill...)
Anyways, we welcomed the year last january one by applying first aid to some neighborhood drunkard who got his head smashed with a bottle of beer (or it might have been whisky.. ^ ^). And that's not all, ILECO had been so generous to cut off electricity during the peak of celebration (firecrackers time..). It was a nice thing really, because with only candles and flashlights and kerosene lamps as our sources of light, we appreciated the firecrackers more, especially since some of our neighbors contested each other by providing pyrotechnic. But if some drunkard suddenly knocked on your door with blood splattered on his face it was a little offbeat. Yeah, our new year celebration turned out to be like a scene in Patayin mo sa Sindak si Barbara. My brother's a student nurse and was well-respected in our neighborhood so people usually run for help to him or to our family. So he did all the first aid necessities and we assisted him.
And that's not all again! About an hour after the neighborhood-drunkard-who-got-his-head-smashed encounter, there was another casualty. This time it was some neighborhood drunkard who got his shoulder stabbed. The person who asked for help this time was this little woman who was the drunkard's sister. She ran barefoot to our house requesting to call the ambulance. She kept on covering her face and she was also teary eyed while frantically retelling what happened. I called my brother again and the hero that he is, he applied first aid to that drunkard who got his shoulder stabbed. Oh the glory of alcohol!
Talk about a new year blast. Apparently, during new year, firecrackers are not the only things that explode.
